Mexico Field Director |
| Accountability: |
Reports to the Executive Director and the Executive Council. |
| Ministry Responsibility: |
To provide leadership, administrative oversight, and coaching for Team Leaders, and serve as a member of the Executive Council (the administrative leadership team for Ameritribes). |
| Ministry Overview: |
Mentor/pastor/lead Team Leaders, endeavoring to accomplish Ameritribes’ purpose statement through effective teams.
Assist Team Leaders with the development of and implementation of a strategy for church planting and development of national church leaders, leading to responsible phase-out.
Recruit and supervise placement of new staff for fields. Assist Team Leaders in integrating new staff into teams.
Oversee Culture and Language Acquisition program for field staff.
Lead in pioneering new areas for ministry among tribal groups in Mexico.
Oversee budget planning and financial matters relating to field operations.
Represent the Mexico Field on the Executive Council.
Maintain open communication with and act as a liaison between the Executive Director, Team Leaders, and Personnel Director.
Continue developing relationships between Ameritribes and other mission agencies working in Mexico.
Maintain communication with Mexican officials/agencies regarding visas and other issues relating to government matters. |
| Primary Duties: |
Development of healthy field teams working together to accomplish the purpose of Ameritribes.
An ongoing meaningful/effective relationship between the community development and the church planting aspects of the mission’s work.
An emphasis on a chronological approach to evangelism.
The mentoring and training of new believers for church leadership, beginning in the early stages of ministry.
The maintaining of strong relationships between Ameritribes and its Mexican partner agency.

| Skills and Experience: |
Degree in Bible/missions /intercultural studies.
Cross-cultural missionary experience in a Latin and/or tribal context.
Fluent in Spanish.
Passion for evangelization of the lost.
Known for a godly life; inspires others to the same.
Able to articulate and inspire vision.
Servant leader who extends positive encouragement.
Competent in problem solving, strategic planning, and decision-making.
Able to wisely manage financial and human resources.
Able to partner and network with churches and with mission agencies/associations both in the U.S. and Mexico.
Equal to the demands of international travel and ministry.
